After 1 year and 8 days, this unit heated up and started to melt under the volume knob. Of course it was 8 days out of the warranty coverage. It was in a guest room, and we happened to notice the acrid smell of burning wiring when cleaning the room. The plug in charger was almost too hot to remove from the wall outlet. This is the second one of these too fail; we had an earlier one quit working at the 2-year mark, again due to the volume knob failing. I strongly recommend not buying this model.
