I researched a long time before deciding to buy the Dash Clear View toaster. Purchased due to high marks from other buyers on Amazon. I really wanted to love this toaster. It's only positive... looks nice on counter. From day one we had difficulty with toaster toasting evenly. Ok....this received great reviews so maybe it's just us? So we gave it some time and played around with the settings....always with a different result. Occasionally it did what it was supposed to do....toasted a perfect piece of toast. Normally we found ourselves "babysitting" the toaster for fear of burning. It also would pop the toast out with such force it normally landed on top of the toaster or on the counter. There is also a design flaw...the chrome around the top of the toaster get VERY hot and we've burned our fingers more than once. The knobs and buttons are plastic and feel cheaply made. After almost two months....I'm finally tired of it. Called manufacture and they have offered to give us a replacement once old toaster is returned. Waiting on them to email me a return label. I will let potential buyers know if second one works better. Update: After almost two weeks ...finally received replacement today. Didn't even get it out of the box... it was the wrong color. Disappointing as I had informed customer service I purchased black. Called and was informed black was "out of stock" so manufacturer sent white. Since my appliances are black and chrome I asked for a refund and will be sending this back. Didn't want a white toaster and the possibility of "babysitting" a second one wasn't appealing.
