I am an avid Amla powder consumer and I usually get my annual stock from New Delhi during my trips to my parents. This one time I bought Amla in the USA using Amazon, thinking, let me try. I am extremely disappointed with what the seller is selling to its unsuspected audience. A number of flags: 1. The colour is too dark for Amla powder. 2. The characteristic bitter-sweet yet its freshening aftertaste is absolutely missing. 3. The smell is not the Citric-bitter kind, which usually the Amla is. 4. The texture & cloudiness of the powder, when put in water, is not what an Amla powder should be. This is not Amla, this is another herb (those who know Trifala components will know it in one go) mixed with, maybe a tiny fraction of Amala berry. Don't buy this product, the seller is not being true to its customers.
