I would give this 5 Stars if the 'filter and maintenance' were not so costly. So far $60 per month! For efficiency, this is the very finest small humidifier I've purchased. For that I would give 5 Stars. HOWEVER, the $30 filter is filling up with minerals and clogging within 10 days to 2 weeks, rendering the nice Honeywell Humidifier completely useless, until the $30 filter is replaced. Do we have 'soft water'? Absolutely! I was even so astounded I had new 'hard water' tests performed from the same faucets we use to fill the humidifier. Results: virtually perfect soft water in our home... Replacing $30 filters every 2 weeks, or even once per month is completely unacceptable. The problem with most of the reviews is that people Review before they realize the filter cloggs, even with soft water, then must be replaced. The filter is not cleanable or reusable... Yes, this is excellent in every way, except the very costly filter replacement--even with soft water.
