We've been buying this soup for years and always enjoyed it, so it came as a terrible disappointment recently when I bought a new box and saw that it had a seal on the front saying...NOW TASTES EVEN BETTER! Whoever decided that must have no taste buds...Theyve taken the shitaki mushroom extract (a very unique flavor) out of the soup base and added sugar. Now the soup tastes sweet and lacks the distinctive flavor that it used to have. Isn't worth the purchase price anymore. It seems as though Annie Chun's has been bought out by a major Asian food corporation and the quality has definitely suffered. I guess sugar is a cheap ingredient.
