First off, Every knife has the same fake Damascus fold design. A Damascus fold is when metal is folded over and over to leave an intricate markings on the blade. With a high end knife, whether it be for culinary use or defensive sword or carry knife, a Damascus fold knife will NEVER have the same pattern. Second, the blade is made from Series 400 metal. Garbage. A good knife, Like a Shun Knife is folded with two or more metals to form a more stronger and reliable knife. Shun knives are handmade in Japan and not just stamped out of a piece of poor grade metal. Finally, as the saying goes, You get what you pay for. One Shun Knife costs more than this entire set.
