I make jewelry and have really rearched this whole category to treat brass & copper; Krylon, artistic metal sprays, versatile clear coats. I read lotsa reviews about protectaClear, so I finally caved. This was the last product I tried and this was the worst product I tried. Save your $ and get Rust-Oleum clear enamel, (matte or shiny). That was really the most effective.
The protectaClear gummed up, got spotty & looked dirty. I cleaned & polished my pieces well before coating, used the alcohol & aluminum foil as required. It pooled on the wire work. I dipped the rings like instructed & it was SO THICK. Yuck. It ruined my stuff. 😟
