I cannot prove that I am a verified purchaser, as I did not buy this saw on Amazon, but allow me to list the serial number for verification. 201418007786. This saw was purchased from a large box retailer at Christmas time. At first, I thought this saw was awesome. It seemed to cut through most light lumber with ease, and the narrowness of the kerf was great. The tool operated for the better part of 13 months, and was my saw of choice for small projects. I have to admit that the "feel" of the saw was superior to other ones I had looked at. After 13 months had passed, while cutting 5/8" thick pine plywood, the saw made a terrible sound, and the blade stopped turning,even though the motor did not. Being in the industrial tool business, I knew what I had done, I had broken either the bevel gear, or pinion gear, in the head of the tool. I wrote WORX to see if I could get it fixed, and they advised that they did not repair these saws, but would be happy to provide a replacement for a nominal fee of $5+ dollars. I thought this was reasonable. After 8 months of follow ups, and WORX always saying they hadn't gotten any more in from their supplier (not true), I gave up, and bought a Milwaukee 5 1/4" battery saw. I have had it with WORK. They do not stand buy their product, and they misrepresent their intentions. I was considering buying a WORX cart, but after this experience, will NEVER buy another WORX product again. My advice, you get what you pay for. A $49.00 saw (on sale) gets you $49.00 of use. If you need a small saw for a few cuts a year, this might work, but if you do a medium amount of cutting, pay more money, and get a good saw....which this is not.
