Whoever the people at SodaStream are that came up with the idea to dilute the syrup, change the flavoring and at the same time charge the same (or more in some places) price needs to be fired. On paper it may look like a brilliant idea but as you can see by other reviews here it most certainly was not. This is like 'New Coke' but worse. At least Coca Cola Co didn't shrink the can size, raise the price and then say how much better it was than before. These new 'Fountain Style' mixes are nasty. As others have already pointed out, they're also diluted so you use twice as much to try to get the flavor you're used to. Also as previously mentioned they're more expensive. When I first noticed the new bottles indicated about half of the servings of the older bottles I was somewhat confused since it's only a 2oz difference between the two. Being that I use the push-top syrup squirter things, it would just be the same number of squirts per bottle right? WRONG! You have to use way more to get that same taste. (And even then the taste is still slightly off, and not in a good way.) If you don't have a SodaStream already, I can not (and will not again) recommend getting one. If you do have it I highly recommend testing one of these 'new and improved' mixes before you buy any further supplies (e.g. c02 refill, liter bottles, etc) and definitely do the math on the costs. The savings simply aren't there anymore. The only benefit of these 'new & improved' mix bottles is the local big box retail stores have been putting all the original bottles on closeout prices. I've been stocking up on those but once they're gone if the only thing stores have is this new 'fountain style' bottle/mix I'll be cutting my losses and getting rid of my SodaStream unit and supplies. My investment costs aren't high enough to deal with bad flavors and price gouging for a product (soda) that's on the consumer decline already. So long SodaStream.
