I was so excited for this product to hit the market. I wanted to buy the original but decided to wait on v2. First the good news; these scales are beautiful. It looks like something Apple would put out. Beautiful design and the display is nice and bright. Sadly that's where the good news stops. The problem with these scales are they don't like to connect to wireless networks. Without a wireless network connection these scales are worthless. I worked on the connection issue for the first 3.5 hours after I received them. As an IT professional I didn't want these scales to "beat me" lol. I finally gave up and looked online. Not surprising I found complaint after complaint about the scales not joining wireless networks. The next day I contacted Fitbit customer support and was told this is a known bug and they are working on a fix but had no time-frame for a fix. The bigger problem; Fitbit actually allowed this product into the market place with either; A. no QA testing. None. or B. they knew about the problem and let the product go out anyway. Either way I'm terribly disappointed with the Fitbit corporation. I've been a Fitbit fanboy since they started out but am constantly hit with little irritating disappointments with each new product. I don't understand why they would make such a beautiful piece of poo. I'm giving the product an overall rating of 2. 5 for design and 1 for how well it works. I fully believe in-time they will get the bug fixed and these scales will be amazing. However; shame on Fitbit for selling these before they were ready for prime-time. QA, QA, QA....
