The printer starts to become harder and harder to turn on. It shuts off it gives you the alternating white and orange flashing accompanied with a popup box says you must take it in for repairs. Repairs cost more than the printer is worth and it's hard to transport it to get repairs due to its weight. It can be revived (turned on) by repeated pushing the start button (google this). At first this works but it gets progressively harder and harder to start it until nothing works and its forever dead. However, one good thing when it was working-I never had a print head clog even using all aftermarket ink tanks. This is my second Pro100. Canon sent me a replacement after the first died in 10 months. The second one died after 14 months, they then refused to send me a replacement.
