I was skeptical about ordering this product, as it’s had a lot of negative reviews. Generally those sorts spread like wildfire on the internet, so I try not to pay too much mind to them. But I learnt my lesson from this purchase. The surge protectors that come are Belkin, but they aren’t the ones pictured on the product page. They’re cheaply made, no question about it. The switches are solid, not transparent, so there’s no light that comes through to show that your electronics are protected; there is an Off position and a Reset position; the switch itself is a bit loose and very easy to press accidentally. Unless you’re planning on plugging something like a floor lamp into this, I wouldn’t recommend it for any use — definitely not for a stereo or TV, which is what I’d been planning on. I picked up a nice GE surge protector from Walmart for about $22 dollars, with 8 outlets and 2 USB ports to boot. I’ve posted a picture of this for you to check out for yourself. If you need more outlets for your electronics, you’ll be happy when you’ve spent a little extra money on a surge protector that will actually protect your devices. Don’t get this product.
