Get Fresh Air at a Reasonable Price // Update Nov 19th: When unit breaks, you are on your own!
Over the years, I've bought at least four ozone generators (although, to be fair, some were "integrated" into other systems that proclaim to clean the air and rid it of bad smells). So far, the only one to REALLY deliver on the promise of better smelling air is this OP5000.
Yes, it is barebones, and it does not match my decor :), but it takes care of business. It's small enough to be moved to a different room as needed. I generally set it in the middle of a room, select 30 minutes, leave the room, and come back to fresh air! I rotate through my house that way, giving a little extra attention to the cats' bathroom (for obvious reasons!). The little unit performs flawlessly.
_______
I guess I was too enthusiastic; after 4 months, the ozone machine stopped generating ozone and started giving off a "burnt" smell. I contacted the seller who tried telling me that all that was normal: ... "what commonly happens after several uses is a desensitization to the ozone smell and it won't seem as strong rest assured it is still doing its job."
After getting Amazon involved, they reluctantly seemed to honor the warranty with the following caveat: As per your warranty, all warranty parts and labor are covered, only the shipping is your responsibility.
"ONLY SHIPPING" to Canada is over $100 and thus more expensive than the unit itself.
I can no longer endorse this unit or the seller.
