Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

My opinion of this book is totally opposite of most other Christian reviews. I despise books like this one. It is a long list of anecdotes that are supposed to remind us of God's Blessings on our lives. In reality, it is a self-serving look-how-great-I-am story that would not have been written if he didn't turn out to be a wealthy lawyer with lots of extra time on his hands that he could use to tell others about his fantastic life. How are the rest of us supposed to relate to a guy who proposed to his girlfriend on a large yacht? What life lessons are to be learned? The biggest pet peeve of mine is if you're going to give credit to God for amazing success stories, then you must also give credit to God for all the things you tried that didn't work out. Without the give and take, his view of God is just a teddy bear story. For every book like this one, there are a million more interesting stories of reality that give us hope.
