I really wanted this to my new go to travel cup for hot and cold. I love the quality of the cup inside and out. It's beautifully designed and you get 2 lids with it. But I had to send it back. Here's why. THE BIG PROBLEM: The lid lifts off on its own when hot beverages are poured in! This can lead to spilling, leaking and burning yourself with hot water! As you'll notice in my video I boil hot water for tea or instant coffee or whatever I may drink, and the lid lifts off on its own. This is happening because of the leak proof design. This design works great at beverages at warm temperature or cold. I can turn the cup upside down and it won't leak. BUT because of the leak proof design and non-screw on lid the lid is polished up and off from the rising steam of the hot beverage. Would highly recommend for warm liquids and cold liquids. But beware of hot liquids.
