I must say that I was elated to find this set of 3 kitchen set of sink drain baskets. The fit was perfect. I needed stainless steel of course. Plastic would not lay as flat and would prevent the drainage of food particles, etc. from entering the drain basket. This item is smooth and has a graduated entry so that debris and even the smallest particles enter the drain basket! This is every persons' dream who wants to delay having to call a plumber due to a stopped up drain. I cannot believe how small particles are caught. However, this review has a sad ending. I empty and wash this drain basket about twice a day. I am not sure at what point it began to rust underneath the basket (the part that sits inside the sink drain). I could not believe it. I actually bought 2 sets of the (6) of these and gave them to my adult daughters. Each of us needed 2 each due to a double sided sink. So, since this item is NOT SOLID stainless steel, it will rust completely out in time. I am going to contact the seller and see if they will offer me a comparative product or issue me a credit. Jen
