i "inherited" a boat and various equipment including a brand new battery...never used. But it sat in my garage for more than a year and I wondered what condition it would be in when I tried to charge it. Bought this charger and it showed a steady red light for almost 2 days so I thought it might be flakey. Then it went to green so all is well! UPDATE:12/31/2017 - The unit no longer works. No lights at all. Nothing. Guess I jumped the gun on this as I wrote a positive review (above) in the first few days of ownership but it died. Wasted my money after all.
