★★☆☆☆
Not impressed
I hate to be the lone voice of dissent, but I didn't think much of this book. The "suspense" was lacking through most of the book, only coming to light about the last 50-75 pages. Before that, it was just old letters and the "heroine" trying to get away from her exes by snooping into old happenings in the town. I'm not sure why anybody cared, let alone the "murderer." I was unhappy with the lack of character development. There wasn't really any romance, as the main character whined through the whole book about her ex-fiance, and whether she should take her ex-boyfriend back because maybe nobody else would marry her. The only romance was in the last 10 pages, and I had no idea what was appealing about any of the characters, because the ex-fiance took off before their wedding because he was "scared" and never called her again; the ex-boyfriend cheated, and she whined and worried about ever getting married. Frankly, I didn't care if she ended up with either of them.
