Prints fine but the $8 tape replacements are the Killer and that's what Brother wants apparently.
So this labeler works well but it's less than 20 bucks for a reason. Brother makes money on the replacement label tapes which are almost $8/ea. The printer puts these automatic margins with no way to adjust them to be narrower. So each label you print it's ka-ching down the drain because you are printing nothing. Online and on their site there have been complaints about this and most say that some lead tape is necessary for the beginning of the label but there is no option to cut the tape narrower at the end. I guess older models had a margins option that would allow for this but the PT-70 no longer has that. It only has a Length option and 1.2" is the narrowest you can choose but this setting still puts white space after the label. I printed a bunch of Key labels to get my stuff organized and cutting all that excess seemed such a waste of money. My workaround has been to do a few labels at a time with double spacing in between to save on the auto wide margins on each side and reduce my cut waste. I can't help but think that this is setup just to make more money on tape. Otherwise the labeler is fine, just wish it wouldn't waste so much tape!
