product was easy to assemble and after a few days my kitten began using it and apparently really likes it. a few problems. major ones. #1- the padding that comes with the window bed is probably a touch softer than sandpaper. i would have gladly paid $4-5 extra to have this device come with very soft and comfortable padding and a fitted blanket for my kitten. Instead I had to go out and buy an extra soft baby blanket for this bed. I did not spend alot of money on the blanket but it was just annoying. #2- exactly 9 months after buying this window bed i was disgusted to walk into my kitten's room and find the window bed on the floor. READ THIS CAREFULLY... the SUCTION CUPS DID NOT FAIL> the small plastic pins (the rods) both broke in half, leading to the window bed to separate from the suction cups, leading to my cat to fall to the floor while still in the bed. Not good. I called the company as the product is still under warranty. They told me they would send me out 2 new pins right away. No thanks. I went out and bought 2 metal screws and 2 bolts to re-secure the window bed. STRONGLY recommend YOU do the same when you purchase this product or REPLACE THE PINS IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THIS PRODUCT. My window bed is suspended roughly 5 feet off the floor. I am not going to chance having my cat getting hurt due to these cheap plastic pins failing. The ad for this product claims it can hold up to 60 pounds. It failed on a 10 pound Sphinx cat. 1 star.
