Several years back we purchased the previous X-Lrg dog door from Ideal Pets. We loved that door - bottom and side magnets that never flapped in the Colorado snowstorms and never let any mice in. After about 5 & 1/2 years, we needed new flaps. Went online to get them - no longer available, but the "new and improved version" was available with replacement flaps easily found. Okay - bought a whole new dog door - and have regretted it ever since. The flaps are flimsy, only bottom magnets, and after only a few months, the flaps are tweaked and mice are getting in. The flaps will flap around in even the slightest wind. Not worth any price as far as I'm concerned. Wish they would go back to their older version!
