In March of 2018, I purchased the Greenworks string trimmer and blower combo with an extra battery. If I would have written this review after a month of ownership it would have been a glowing 5-star review. The trimmer was great and my wife loved the convenience of the cordless blower. We were going green with our lawn equipment and couldn't have been happier. Fast forward to mid-June, approximately 4-5 months after purchase and in the middle of lawn cutting season. I start to notice that instead of being able to trim and blow with the same battery I now need both batteries. Not a huge deal since we always kept both charged. So we were still happy, but the realities of battery power were setting in. By the end of July, even when using two fully charged batteries I could no longer trim the lawn and blow of the cut grass. By the end of October, the second battery I purchase would no longer charge and efforts to communicate with Greenworks went unreturned. This summer I'm ditching the battery powered trimmer and going back to gas powered. I"m hoping that if I baby the batteries along I may be able to get another season out of the blower and this adventure won't be a complete waste of money.
