Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I liked this 5w 300 lumen Cree headlamp that focused the light super sharp so much I bought another one for my brother. Unfortunately, the 2nd one wasnt a 5w 300 lumen Cree headlamp, but rather a much dimmer Osram headlamp, which didnt focus down fully sharp. The battery compartment on this 2nd unit was much harder to get open and the batteries themselves were difficult to fit, even though they look very similar. I wont call it junk, because it is decently bright, but it just doesnt compare to the first unit I got. So I returned it. The Cree version is worth seeking out as it is the brightest light I own currently, really throws when focused tight and can light up the whole backyard when set to it's widest angle....but this Amazon listing is a crapshoot. This explains the wildly varying reviews on Amazon.
