I am so beyond upset. I’ve had this mattress for quite some time and have enjoyed it but I recently took off the cover and washed it and ever sense have been living in hell. Everything in my room including my clothes have been covered in these tiny shiny fibers. I noticed it right away and had no idea what it was but it was absolutely awful, I’m constantly itchy because my clothes are full of them no matter how much I wash them. I’ve broken out in rashes all over my body and have bumps covering certain areas that won’t go away. I would tell my father “it feels like I went upstairs and rolled around in the fiberglass insulation.” At first I thought it was new dryer sheets but no one else in my household was experiencing this. Ever since this happened ive been having the worst rhespitory issues in my life I feel like death and the doctors haven’t been able to figure out why. Finaly today after searching so long I came across an answer. Many mattresses use fiberglass as a fire retardant. This was so shocking why would they put something so horrible in something that has contact with our skin?? I’m so upset that I spent money on something so dangerous that has made my life a living nightmare most of my clothes are ruined because they have tons of the fiber glass fibers covering them week keep washing them with different things and soaking them and they are still imbedded.
