I am truly baffled at how this received such good reviews. I was very excited to receive this as I have been having problems with my shoulders and this looks like it would help immensely. I received it and unpacked and it seemed to be high quality...the "faux fur" is super soft. The only problem with this is that it barely heats up....I know this is a lot to expect from a HEATING PAD!! I cranked it up to high and it heated to a level more appropriate with "Low". To compare, I plugged in my other heating pad (the old one that I have been using and was looking to replace) and the High setting on that one was probably 3-4 times hotter than on this one. I have a hard time believing that this would offer any relief or therapeutic benefit....is there a magic word or phrase you have to say when you turn it on in order for it to work...??? VERY DISAPPOINTED! And to add insult to injury...this item is deemed "Non Returnable" by the seller. Luckily I was able to raise a stink with Amazon and they gave me a full refund and said you can either keep it or throw it away.....I was impressed with the customer service--and think so little of this heating pad that it went straight to the trash can--not even worth keeping even for "FREE". I would steer clear of this one and either get another brand or simply get a large "normal" heating pad that will allow you to wrap around your shoulders.
