I purchased these magnetic hooks as a solution for hanging Christmas icicle lights to the galvalume fascia of my home’s metal roof. The magnets were reasonably strong, so I really thought it would be the perfect solution. I hung my lights on December 12 and remove them on December 31, and I was extremely disappointed to find that the hooks had rusted... a lot! (See picture). Additionally, they had started to leave white circles on my roof’s facia where the dissimilar metals had started to oxidize. These hooks should NOT be advertised as an outdoor product. Not for use in humid locations.
