First the new owners of Lucasfilm hire a director whose main ambition is tearing down the mythology millions of humans have come to love. WTH. Then when fans (young and old) don't like seeing their beloved mythology torn down, they are told it's just because they're misogynistic racists (never mind that the same people have always *loved* Leia and Lando and Mace Windu, loved Chirrut Îmwe and Baze Malbus in Rogue One, and never had any gripes about Padme or Cassian). Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. If Star Wars must die to teach Disney and similarly arrogant studios a lesson, I guess maybe that's a silver lining. This movie is nothing more than an indie director using the biggest film franchise in the world to indulge his fetish with subversion. Intentionally disrespects all the great storytelling that came before it. A disgrace. And Lucasfilm forcing Mark Hamill to end his iconic role in this piece of garbage is the saddest thing ever.
