How can someone review sheets with only 2 stars? They're sheets for heaven's sakes. They would have gotten a -3 star rating but I couldn't discount out how soft and silky these sheets felt against my skin... So for the feel I would give them 5 stars, but for bed performance they get a -3. So you see, they got a positive rating review. Part of the problem may be my mattress as it's only 12" thickness. After reading the description of the set it said the fitted sheet was 60x80x12". That's the size of my mattress, so it should have been a PERFECT fit. Here's what I didn't like, and it's simple, the oversized fitted sheet and the backside of the fabric. Think the inside of the pillow cases, the bottom side of the fitted sheet. This microfiber fabric is way to slippery on the underside. Add to that, the elastic of the fitted sheet is whimpy at best and the fitted sheet was large enough to fit a mattress twice my thickness. Even after tucking the fitted sheet way under the mattress, just a few flips and turns later the sheet would un-tuck and I'd have an excessive pool of fabric in the middle of my bed. If it wasn't for my bed side tables being a bit taller than my bed, the pillows would have slid out of the cases and onto the floor. Yup, even the pillow I didn't use was half way out the pillow case the following morning. Sorry AmazonBasics, I went and bought a set of 650 thread count cotton sheets from elsewhere. I won't/can't recommend these sheets. Your Microfiber sheet set should be up for sale at Goodwill in the next few hours.
