I used this food jar several times with no issues... and then one day, I went to uncap it (to have my hot soup for lunch) and the inner cap blew off!! Fortunately it didn't hit me or my friend, but it was quite a shock, made a mess, and is DEFINITELY not a situation I will risk again. What's more, I couldn't even eat my soup, as the pressurization process seemed to ruin the food...it was pressurized into a lump, tasted weirdly acidic and smelled terrible. I recapped it and went hungry. When I got home later and went to empty it out, the lid BLEW OFF AGAIN! I had the older version of this food jar (with traditional "Stanley" logo, no winged bear) and used it tons of times with no issues--actually lost it or wouldn't have needed to buy this one, which clearly is deficient or of lesser quality! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THIS JAR.
