Having to connect the base station by cable to my router defeats the purpose of having an outdoor cam. I want a cam in a tree near the street. I have a huge router that has signal all the way out there. I purposely paid a lot of money for such a feature. According to what i read, the Wyze base station must be within 60 feet of the camera. Not going to happen. Why would you need to lmconnect a base station via wire to your router?? Also, the tiny mounting holes will not accommodate a screw big enough to support the cam and keep it from being removed easily. Then there is the issue with the sd card slot being located on the base station. Why? If I need to connect 6 cams, I need 6 sd cards. I have 20 of Wyze v2 cams. Each has its own card. So, is Wyze suggesting that for every outdoor cam I install, I would need a base station to go with it?
