Maybe someone who is in my shoes will appreciate this review. I had a total hysterectomy in 2012 and then got breast cancer in 2013 from taking hormone Estradiol. I’ve suffered for years with hot flashes, vaginal dryness, etc. I bought this based on the great reviews hoping for some relief. I started out the first week with 1 pill twice a day then went up the second week to the dose listed on the bottle - 2 twice a day (3800 mg). After my second week I knew it was working. Hot flashes were WAY better and I was sleeping great. Vaginal dryness was better as well. Last week (3rd week) I had severe, watery diarrhea and horrible stomach pain!!! Ended up being a really bad gallbladder attack that I suffered with for a week until I figured out it was the Maca. Increased estrogen in the body is known to cause gallbladder attacks. SO, it does reduce menopause symptoms and it definitely increases estrogen in your body but watch out for gallbladder attacks. So sorry I can’t keep taking this. My best friend is taking it without issue but she had her gallbladder removed years ago. Go figure!
