It works ok, but not great. I had it covering my infant seat all day while out and about and the baby was at Grandma's. I recommend putting ice packs in your baby seat and this on too, or keeping a small spray bottle of water in your purse to cool down metal and plastic clips. While it does keep it cooler than having nothing at all, it still left the plastic and metal buckles hot to the touch. I was not able to put my infant in the car seat quickly, and had to wait until I sprayed the buckles and seat with water first. At least it was cheap. I live in AZ where it gets up to 120 degrees outside. Today's high was 113.
