I purchased 2 of the 10-cup Food Saver Vacuum Sealed Fresh (rectangle) containers. One of containers worked. I followed the instructions provided with the product. First, there is no snap when closing the lid. I've used my husband's 270-pound body weight to press firmly on all sides and still no snap. I'm not sure if the snap is important, but when using the Food Saver Sealer, you can see the vacuum is working because the vacuum indicator was dimpled. By the next day, the vacuum indicator was no longer dimpled. So disappointed. Someone posted a review and mentioned that they had the same problems with the same product, but suggested that the 8-cup (square) containers did better. So I purchased 2 of the 8-cup (square) container to see if it made a difference. It didn't. Both of the 8-cup (square) containers didn't keep the seal. I really wanted this product to work. I love the design. It's built to last and BPA free. What more could you want? So sad it didn't work.
