I bought this water bowl for my cat who suffers from reoccurring crystals. I thought this might be better than the standard glass dish I had for him. And initially it was great! But only a couple weeks later, my cat won't drink out of it anymore. I did try to clean it several times, and I was displeased the bowl seemed to retain "ick" regardless. But now it's completely unuable. The whole bowl smeals of sulfur, despite cleaning. On top of that the bowl DOES collect dust and cat fur far more than any other cat bowl I've tried. I thought with all the positive reviews this was a God send, but this is one of the rare times that the negative reviews were all too true. In any case I'm 50 dollars in the hole, and back to using the glass water dish until I can find something better. The pictures included show the build up. After using my already filtered water with the system, why would it possible stain so hard like that? That being said, I'm going to try just using my filtered water and see if that makes any sort of difference. Buyer beware of these cons.
