I have been reading a LOT of scientific articles and books to optimized my nutrition prior to turning 40 in a year and a half and AFTER I bought these I read a study about supplements that contain magnesium sterate. Most low quality supplements contains binders, fillers, lubricants, artificial flavors and colors etc. You'll notice that these pills boast "no binders or fillers" but they do use the manufacturing lubricant magnesium sterate. It has been scientifically proven in some cases to prevent 60% or more of the absorption of the nutrients in the pill, and sometimes it actually blocks 100% of the absorption! Superior supplements do not contain any of these fillers, lubricants or additives. If you want to get the most bang for your buck and actually enjoy the full benefit of supplementing, then you owe it to yourself to find supplements that don't contain ANY of these unnecessary ingredients! I have since switched to one that contains only organic raw organic kelp in a vegan capsule and NOTHING ELSE. You should too. Yes, they're more expensive, but if you're going to spend the money, you should actually be able to get some benefit from what you pay for! Let's reward companies who don't cheap out and put crap in products thinking we're not smart enough to figure out what they're doing. I'm not a doctor, but I AM a research scientist who has spent the last 13 years studying the biochemsitry and biophysics of dietary intervention against degenerative eye disease. I have co-authored over 15 articles published in peer reviewed journals. I know how to read scientific articles and understand them and I know how the body absorbs and makes use of nutrients, so take that for what it's worth. And yes, I paid full price for this product!
