Contains CROSPOVIDONE = Formaldehyde = Cancer
I purchased this product to replace another melatonin I was taking, that was discontinued. I had very high hopes, considering all the good reviews. I don’t usually post reviews but I felt it might help others with a different perspective.
It seems like every time I’ve tried to take this for sleep, it hasn’t helped me as much as others. It takes a rather long time to “kick in,” and the following day, I feel oddly agitated. I’ve actually noticed consistently after I’ve used thus product, I spend the next day not feeling well; sluggish; and somewhat depressed. I’m not a depressed or angry person so this is really concerning me. I started to research the ingredients to see if I may be having a reaction to something in it. I’m still reviewing but did discover one of the ingredients is “CROSPOVIDONE.” I didn’t know what it was, so I looked it up. Here is the information I found:
Crospovidone/Formaldehyde/Povidone
Crospovidone is povidone and they both are formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is a dangerous chemical that causes cancer. Most/some of PVP products cause cancer.Mar 20, 2009
Whether that ingredient is causing my weird reaction, I’m not sure. However, I do not want to put formaldehyde into my body or anything cancer causing! My body is definitely warming me something is off with this product and I’m going to listen. I will not take this product again. I did not take it often but for the few doses, I pray there is no permanent damage. I’d like a refund but I’m not sure if I qualify at this point.
