I've always been pleased with Canon cameras. After reading the first review on this Nikon though, and doing extensive research online on both the Canon SX10IS and the Nikon Coolpix L100, I decided to go with the cheaper Nikon. I had it for a total of 2 hours and it went back in the box and back to Amazon for a refund. There are no manual adjustments on the camera and this is especially important when the ISO is automatically setting itself to +700 outside! Every picture we took, inside and out, (and yes, we are avid camera users and did read the manual...briefly) was super grainy and the ISO and shutter speed was way out of whack. We sent the camera back and are going to stick with Canon from now on.
