I have a Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 in my office that I've been using for about 8 months now and I've loved it. I wanted something a little more compact to use at home that had a multiple sheet feeder, so the first brand I considered was Fujitsu. I came across the S1300i and it seemed to fit the bill. THE PROS: It's smaller than the iX500 and, while having a sheet feeder and being Mac compatible (i.e. I use PCs (hate!) and Macs (love!) but at home I use only Macs so Mac compatibility was important. This unit is very easy to set up, and uses the great Fujitsu software suite of programs that I was familiar with from using the iX500. The scanning speed is a little slow, probably about 1/2 the speed of the iX500, but a fair trade off for the portability. The biggest problem with the unit is that the sheet feeder is crap, thus I only give it two stars. If I put perfectly smooth, letter sized paper in the chute, it is constantly feeding 2-3 sheets at a time, getting stuck, and causing me to have to open the unit, remove the paper and rescan. I am very disappointed with the poor sheet feeding capability, as the iX500 was relatively flawless in it's feeding sheets through the scanner, but this unit is horrible. You can save directly to a dropbox or other cloud account or to your iPhone or Android phone. THE CONS: The speed is a con if you want something that is really robust I'd consider the iX500 if you don't mind a little more heft. The S1300i isn't as good at catching when multiple pages get fed through together. I have noticed a few times two pages went through and the unit didn't notice. The iX500 always catches it when that happens. The sheet feeder can probably handle about 15 pages (even though it says 10) at a time, which is a con given the relatively slower scanning speed compared to the iX500, but for me it's a fair trade off to get the more compact form factor
