EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND SHOULD BE RECALLED. CUSTOMER SERVICE NEVER RESPONDS
I got this in October 2019. I'm 6'8", 280 lbs, so within the spec limits of this chair. I will say that this chair has tipped over while sitting on it multiple occasions causing me to fall on the hard wood floor and hit my head on the desk. I never had this issue with my old DX Racer Tank. It seems that the base for this chair is far too narrow. If I lean just a hair too far forward in this chair, the chair shoots out from under me. This has happened three times. I reached out several times to AK Racing Customer Service, but they have never responded. When I first received the chair, one of the armrests was broken, and customer service immediately sent me a replacement, which was great. However, now that there is a severe safety issue, they won't talk to me. Its too late to return it but this should be considered a warranty issue. I guess when liability issues arise, they're nowhere to be found.
Update (Mar 2020): So after 4 months and numerous emails, an AKRacing employee finally replied to me. He said this was not a common issue. When I pointed out quite a few other reviews that noted the exact same issue, he insinated that I was too big for the chair and criticized my seating posture instead. He sent me a picture of perfect seating posture and said that this is the only way to sit and leaning forward is not recommended. This is moronic. Everyone has to lean forward at some point while sitting. I also showed him links where AKRacing recommended the chair to people taller and larger than me. All I got was excuses, blame towards me, and no resolution whatsoever. So I am not stuck with an expensive chair that is too dangerous to use. Someone will get hurt badly from this and they've been warned.
