I bought my first Vornado fan in 2014 and have been in love with it ever since. It runs nearly 24/7 half the year and has had zero issues. While not very quiet it has been easy to clean and puts out a tremendous amount of air for the size. When I moved to a larger place and needed a second fan, it seemed buying another one of these was a no-brainer. I was dismayed to discover that the current fans being sold under the same model and name are inferior. While they look mostly the same, they put out noticeably less air and have a redesigned power switch that pokes out further and feels super cheap. I'm a little worried this new cheap feeling power switch will be the first thing to break. I took both apart to look at the motor and the new fans definitely have a different one. It looks a little nicer now as they gave it a black case that matches the case but it just puts out less air. These new fans are not terrible but it's clear that the quality has gone significantly downhill. Hopefully another great brand emerges when these break or I need another.
