I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. We had brand new carpet installed and shortly after my 16 year old cat urinated in one of the rooms. Bought this product after reading the reviews. I used it exactly as directed and even received an email with detailed instructions. I also followed up with my Bissell steam cleaner to help the process. My carpet is still overwhelmed with the smell of urine and now the spots I cleaned have turned dark because the spray is very soapy and attracts dirt even after it has dried because you CAN NOT get all the soap out. Keep in mind our carpet was brand new, specifically designed for pets with built in Scotch Guard. I didn't find the smell of the product to be too bad as others stated but mixed with the lingering smell of urine, it's pretty much nauseating at this point.
