Look great, feel cheap.
I bought this flatware set based on its appearance on the product page and the great customer reviews it received.
To start, the pieces look great in person. They have a nice mirrored shine, and the contrast between the reflective versus frosted portions on the handles are more subtle in person than they appear on the product page, which I liked. It really is a handsome set.
Unfortunately, all pieces except the knives and large spoons feel very cheap. They are constructed with rather thin metal, feel very light, and seem prone to bending--though many reviewers said their sets have proven durable. The handles are also very angular, with a length-wise, concave crease on the back (the word 'hollow' comes to mind), and sharp edges/corners. They were not very comfortable to use. Overall the weight, feel, and construction seems more like school cafeteria silverware and is really inconsistent with the very nice appearance of the set.
If all pieces were as solid-feeling as the knives, I would have kept the set, but I instead decided to return it.
