Bought this back in February 2018. Out of the box, the roller ball felt gritty and did not work nearly as well as the one I bought in 2015. Also, I noticed right away that the logo had changed from 'Logitech' to 'Logi'. It also did not have Logitech on the back label like the 2015 version did. I was wondering if this was another one of those China rip-off clones. Not long after I bought it I began to have connectivity issues. Now it does not work at all. China keeps screwing us royally but we keep buying. What choice do we have, very little is made in the US anymore? Well, it probably is made in China for Logitech but who really knows? Anyway, because there are not any good substitutes, like an idiot, I'm going to buy another one. The Chinese see us coming a thousand miles away. UPDATE: Well...shame on me. So I wrote the above review today. After writing it, my 'logi'-cal brain kicked in and got me thinking, maybe it's me. I went online on how to pair the device. The page connected me to Logitech's support web page with instructions on downloading their software. I did so and re-paired the mouse. It now works better than ever. My bad. Probably what has happened is that I have two wireless trackballs and I use them interchangeably at times when doing computer upgrades and such. Also, I'm also switching out the dongles which I now realize is not necessary because you can use the same one as long as it is paired. That may require their software to download to do. Not sure. I don't know, but perhaps the dongle got confused somehow when they were switched out. Anyway, it works great again. I'm going to leave the one-star rating because...they tend to get more attention and perhaps this will spare someone the aggravation. ONE MORE THING: I notice that the latest software upgrade was this month and that it has bug fixes. So, I'll upgrade the other device as well.
