Update 5/21/19 - now the veneer on one of the bubbles has "chipped" off, revealing the fibrous/absorbent inside. Just crazy cheap product. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have attempted to post this review to the Ashley Furniture website and strangely - it will not allow me to. Even on Target, Ashley is who controls the reviews. Just be aware that the reviews are definitely hand picked. I bet there are others like me who have the same issue with their table who have tried to post. Note - we did not buy from amazon - but we wanted to write a review here. 2 chairs so far are wobbling. As charming as this table is when you see it at first, it did even last week before the table started bubbling at the seams. We immediately reported it to the store (all sales final) and they ordered us a new top. It will take 4 to 6 weeks to arrive. As time passes, more bubbles are appearing. You can see from my photos the top of each plank is a thin veneer with pressed wood under it! So disappointing! Walmart has better tables than Ashley. Since we can't get a refund, we have ordered a thick glass to cover the new top when it comes. We just aren't confident that the new one won't bubble. Any type of moisture that gets into the seam is absorbed the pressed wood and permanently swells. Such poor product .
