I was very impressed with this unit when I got it out of the box started up on the second pull. The problem started after I began testing the generator output I thought plugging in a 1500 W heater would be no problem since it's rated at 1600 W continuous but after plugging in the heater it kicked out right away I thought I would test hairdryer rated at 1250 W that ran fine I then thought maybe the heater I was testing that there was a problem with it I did a load test plugging it into an outlet using Thousand dollar amp load tester used on large HVAC equipment the heater pull exactly 1465 W nowhere near the 2000 W max rating. I've been tested several more items to check to see how much wattage I could run through it using a electric tea kettle an electric skillet and several other items that I knew pulled a lot of wattage anything over 1580 W tended to trip the overload
