Being from Hawaii, my first experience with biscuits and gravy was during basic training at Ft Benning, GA. I loved the stuff and had it for breakfast almost every chance I could. Fast forward to 15 years later, I saw this on Amazon and thought it would be a good provision to hoard for quarantine. I ignored the negative reviews and figured, at just over a dollar per can, I would pick up the 12 pack as emergency COVID lockdown rations. The cans arrived on time, undamaged, and with an expiration date almost 2 years away. I would not recommend this to anyone with intact tastebuds. As other reviewers have mentioned, there is a strong soapy taste to the gravy that I find extremely unpleasant. Even the worst MRE (veggie omelette) is preferable to this canned abomination. I enjoy canned goods from clam chowder to chili to spam to potted meat. This sausage gravy is plan Z... If I ever eat this stuff again, it will mean that I have run out of human meat. Seriously, yuck.
