It is truly amazing what people will believe. "Far Infrared" is not some mystical healing force. It is simply the spectrum of IR radiation which we experience as heat. There is zero evidence that adding amethysts to a heating pad somehow transforms that heat into anything more than heat. As for the "FDA Registered" line, that merely means that the FDA accepts it probably won't burst into flames and kill you. It certainly does not mean that the FDA agrees it is actually effective. So, if you have a bunch of money and want to waste it on a big heating pad to impress your New Age friends, go for it. But if you aren't a believer in magic, you can probably spend your money elsewhere.
