The careers of Gabriel Allon and Silva are now over.
Like many others, I have read all of the Gabriel Allon novels and enjoyed them very much, so I was shocked to find that this one is banal, shallow, and boring. It’s degrades the character of Allon. I wish I had had not bought it and had not read it. I will not make that mistake again.
