I purchased this padded gig bag specifically because of the advertisement claim that it had "high density 20mm padding on all sides". When I picked up the box I thought it felt very light when compared to my CMC gig bag, and the box was actually smaller as well. After removing the bag and inspecting it, I was sadly disappointed with the material on the inside of the bag. Stiff and abrasive with very little padding. Out of curiosity, I took my digital caliper and measured the true thickness of the 20mm padding. The side with the zipper measured 13.1mm uncompressed thickness, including the inner and outer materials as well as the high density padding. The top measured even thinner at 11.1mm. I was unable to measure the bottom due to the construction of my caliper. Neither sides or top come anywhere close to the described 20mm thickness touted on a tag on the case as well as the web page description. It should have received no stars for the deception, but one is the least I could apply. I have no idea what all the four and five star respondents were looking at or thinking.
