If you care about your little one don't buy! This has been one of my worst purchases on Amazon. I can't believe they even allow these crates to be sold given the poor quality and hazard they create. Here is what happened...I purchased the 48" crate thinking it would be perfect for my dog and at its price point it seemed worth it. When it arrived, putting it together was easy but I noticed it had very sharp edges throughout the outside. All the bars were sharp at then ends and the frame never really snapped together the way it was supposed to. Needless to say, I bought a doggy bed and cushioned the inside to protect my dog from these poorly crafted bars. After two months of daily use the crate started falling apart. The structure was no longer there and the front panel where the door is was lose on top. I thought about returning this garbage back but a 48" heavy crate is very cumbersome to return. I once again gave the crate a chance and used and old dog harness to wrap around the top corner of the panel that was lose and joined it to the side panel. I created good pressure wrapping this and it brought the frame back to normal. And then it happened..... I returned from work one day to find my pup bleeding and his paw stuck on the front side of the crate. From the looks of it, he had stretched and gotten his paw through one of the gaps. When he pulled back those sharp edges I talked about before sliced his leg open in two places. One being a very deep cut and therefore causing serious bleeding. I am very thankful I got there shortly after it happened thanks to a neighbor who heard him crying because he would of been going into shock. At the hospital I find out that the incident had also fractured his paw. This poorly made crate is very dangerous and I am highly disappointed that this is even on the market. I know there are several high reviews but ready the 1 star reviews with similar complaints. Really read them and avoid this item at all costs. Most of the high ratings have not had the crate for long. If you care about your dog please save yourself an emergency visit and invest in something better. I wish I had. I also hope Amazon drops this soon because it has caused injury to an animal and this should not be allowed in the market. I also have contacted the manufacturer via email and have received no response or concern. Please view the pictures for more.
